My name is Ginger

Hi there. My name is Ginger. I am the Granddaughter of Ruth and mother to a Beautiful Ruth.

Here is my story...
I was born to 2 loving Christian parents in 1972. I was truly a daddy's girl. Actually wanted to be a boy but God did not make me that way. :)
So when I was 7 years old my mother was diagnosed with Breast cancer. The cancer was already in her lymph nodes. She fought a great battle with cancer... many of them as she struggled with the effects of radiation and chemotherapy also a mastectomy. She lost her battle on June 5th 1982. She was 39 years old.
So at 9 I was without a mother. I was very sad but also a daddy's girl. My dad dated a bit soon after my mom died. I was thrilled when he decided to remarry. I got a much needed mother and he was truly happy again. They were newlyweds with 3 of his kids at home and her daughter.
So they took many vacations as a couple without us kids.
I remember spring break when I was 14. Dad had been falling asleep unexpectedly. So off to the doctor. My brother and I were stacking wood in our garage and got the phone call. My daddy had a brain tumor. Cancer AGAIN. Let me tell you how scary that word can be. VERY.
So after 2 years with my dad being a trooper ... many different treatments and much humiliation... my daddy lost his life to Cancer at 49. It was April 17th, 1989. I was devastated.
How does one young girl get through all that without loosing her mind... God is my answer.
You cannot get through life without God to see you through. I have such peace about my losses.
Through those losses God has provided much to be thankful for.

I have so much that I have to thank God for.
I will post more about those later.
Catch you tomorrow.

Ging
